Data Discovery

Our Discovery features empower users to explore various data sources connected to The Data Refinery in depth. There are two distinct methods for investigating this data. (1) Schema View: This option allows users to explore different data sources, their data tables, relationships, and data structures. (2) Query Builder: While this option requires a bit more technical expertise, it provides users with the ability to write SQL queries against data sources, enabling a deeper investigation of the data.

📄️ Basics

The discovery hub allows users to review and interrogate the data that has been synchronised from any connected data sources.

📄️ Schema Viewer

Our schema viewer gives users the ability to explore each Data Source connected to The Data Refinery in depth. When you link a Data Source to The Data Refinery, our schema viewer enables you to investigate all the tables originating from that data source, along with their table relationships.

📄️ Querying Data

Our query builder functions similarly to the Schema Viewer, allowing users to explore each Data Source connected to The Data Refinery in depth. However, the Query Builder provides this functionality using SQL (Structured query language - a programming language for storing and processing information in a relational database).
